Ryan Kean
Director of Mission Planning
Ryan, a pediatric RN, has served at BC Children's Hospital since 2008, primarily working in the Emergency Department as their Clinical Nurse Coordinator. Complementing his nursing experience, he has spent the last two years as the Program Manager for the Orthopaedics Department, leading the operations of its high-volume clinic.
Ryan has been an active member of Operation Rainbow Canada for the past decade, participating in three missions. He provided crucial post-operative nursing support in India (2015) and Cambodia (2017), and most recently, gained experience as a Mission Coordinator trainee in Mombasa, Kenya. This blend of healthcare leadership and direct mission involvement equips Ryan to leverage his skills and network effectively as Director of Mission Planning.
